ShareExpress2000 Bug report
Use the form below to report any bugs or
difficulties you may have encountered
when downloading, installing, or using ShareExpress2000.

Win Vista/Win7
(32bit systems) - Known issues:
- Error message "Component 'comctl32.ocx' or one of its
dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or
invalid".
Remedy: You must fully
restart your system after you finished installing the program.
Then try to run it again. If you are still experiencing the same
error then try RIGHT clicking the program's shortcut on desktop
or windows start menu and select "Run as admin". OR/AND right
click the program's shortcut and then select "Properties",
then click the "Compatibility Tab" and select "Run this program
in compatibility mode for XP".
Make sure to also check the "Run as admin" option on that same
tab to permanently run the program in this setup.

Error messages when trying to update prices
(SE-Toolz).
Open the following folder on you
computer "C:/program
files/ShareExpress2000" and look for the three files
"ShareExpress2000.exe", "SE-Toolz.exe" and "updater.exe".
Try setting "Run as admin" as well as "XP compatibility mode"
precisely as described
above. You will need to repeat the process for each of the three
files, "ShareExpress2000.exe", "SE-Toolz.exe" and "updater.exe".

Error message "Shares in your exclude list are no
longer in your portfolio" (SE-Toolz).
Click the "Options" button on the
SE-Toolz screen and remove from your exclude list any shares
which you no longer have in your portfolio.

Program becomes "unregistered" when switching to a
different user account, same PC.
On that same user account, RIGHT
click the program's shortcut on desktop or windows start menu
and select "Run as admin". OR/AND right click the program's
shortcut and then select "Properties", then click the
"Compatibility Tab" and select "Run this program in
compatibility mode for XP". Make sure to also check the "Run as
admin" option on that same tab to permanently run the program in
this setup.
